we were given a week to make 25 symbols for objects we randomly found around campus, almost like an alphabet for our own unique visual language

The next week, we were asked to use our 25 symbols as an "alphabet" to compose 5 square compositions for five gestalt principles: proximity, figure/ground, closure, similarity, and continuity. We were only allowed to use greyscale tones and one color.
