Re-branding: International Museum of Surgical Science

As part of the re-design and re-branding, a pictorial portrait was created. In essence, a poster that quickly encompassed what the International Museum of Surgical Science was dedicated to. The idea was to visually refer back to collection drawers inside museum archives. The carefully segmented compartments, the small labels, and the black on gray all are a nod to the careful storage of the historic pieces the museum has.
Signature created for the re-branding. A typographic approach was taken, wherein the surgical element was brought in through the clean cut featured through the type.
A style guide was also created in order to explain how the re-branding material should and should not be used. The style guide follows the same design method that all the other pieces of the re-brand do; it features carefully segmented compartments that relate back to a drawer or collection in the museum archives.
