Foundation: Drawing

One of the core foundation studios at RISD is drawing. In this class we investigated the act of drawing through tone, line, and space. I learned to keep my drawings provisional for as long as possible, and to draw form from the inside moving out to effectively communicate space relationships.
With this drawing I sought to make a mountain out of a molehill. I draw from a small model that I created out of clay. My main concerns here were composition, tonal structure, and hierarchy.
