Axis looks at the increasingly interconnected worlds of photography and videography, exploring the parallels of the technology in a singular device. In a field that is progressively placing higher value on the ability to cover both mediums, there is currently a limited availability of technology that assists in bringing the two together. The project addresses the issue of stabilisation that is evident in hand held camera usage, combining the classic technology of the tripod with the more recent camera rig. Merging these elements allows the user to have a simple, adaptable and light weight solution that is accessible to a broad range of abilities.
