Case:
The people of Bukit Sadok weave mats traditionally for commercial purposes. Although the weaving method is traditional, the designs produced have a modern twist to them. The association required a logo that reflected both the traditional as well as modern.
Solution:
A concise logo reflecting what the association offered was developed.
Hexagon - an elongated hexogan is used, as it is akin to the traditional tribal shield.
Motif - the bunga sintung, a common weaving motif, is rotated to complement the shield's proportion.
Typography - combination of sans serif and handlettered type, to reflect handcraft modernity.
