Experiential Perspectives

Experiential Perspectives: Re-imagining spatial narratives through collage.

“Alice follows the rabbit because she is ‘burning with curiosity.’ Soon she finds things becoming ‘curiouser and curiouser.’”
(Lewis Carroll, 1865, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.)

‘Experiential Perspectives’ collages architectural languages and traditional architectural drawing as a method to communicate space and fictional narratives. Using mixed media this project challenges the conventional ways of drawing to express the poetic and uncanny potential of fictional space.

‘Experiential Perspectives’ is the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. You move through the series of spaces in the same manner as you would reading the novel.

This project invites the audience to re-imagine reality through reinterpreting architectural drawings and representations with a narrative drive. Each piece is perceived differently by the individual reader and attracts interpretation and imagination.
