"101 days"

The first 8 months of 2016 has been interesting experience for me. I have traveled all over the world. In 5 years, I visited my home-country, studied abroad for 4 months in Venice, Italy, all the meanwhile my stay there I traveled and visited cities all over Europe, big and small ones; then, I was back to my 'home,' which periodically moves around. For this summer, I was relaxing in Mexico City, Mexico. It was busy and enriching year at the same time. And currently back in Boston in September, I found myself feel new again in the city, after being gone for so long.
Anyhow,  I hoped to find a way to preserve records of my travels somewhere--something that will spark me of the memories. The result is a mood lamp; I can keep it by my bedside and turn it on every night, reminding me of the adventures I had.
The top of the box contains list of my travels and dates. It only includes big and prominent cities of the countries that I visited. If I were to include all the little details, there wouldn't be enough space!
First time experience using a laser cutter; it was exciting to see my design for the mood lamp on an illustrator file come to life!
JE T'AIME: Phrase I saw in Paris subway. Paris is such a romantic city, such fitting phrase
CIAO BELLA: Director of the study abroad would always welcome us with 'ciao bellas.' The saying grew on me.
Above is a word used to say Hi/Bye in Korean. I stayed in Korea so briefly that I almost had to say bye at the same time I said hi.
VIVA LA VIDA: Live your life! In Spain, everyone was so liberating (everyone in Europe was in fact) Europe made me realize I should not conform to expectations, but do what I can do in my life, at this moment without being afraid of making mistakes or experiencing new things!
*All the sides contain phrases or sayings in it's language that I heard often or came touching to me. They are common sayings or phrases one might hear or see often, but they meant a lot to me.
