Frieze wallpaper design.

To cover all the beams in the chapel dedicated to all the Saints of the British Isles, I wanted to make a design unique to its dedication. I therefore made a frieze pattern that would be consistently repeated only using 8 different symbols marking the 8 distinctive features of the saints of the isles. 

-Shamrock of St Patrick (Ireland).

-The head of the dragon and sword of St George (England)

-Cross of St Andrew (Scotland)

-Daffodil and cross of St David (Wales)

-Boat representing the boat of St Felix and St Brendan, and also the saints that have spread the faith from France, Germany etc.

-Celtic cross for the monasteries of Iona, Lindisfarne and elsewhere.

-Crown and arrows of St Edmund

-Sword and Martyrs crown of St Alban (First Saint among the Isles).
