Artemis: Character Design and Posters

Artemis originally started off as a simple portrait of a fourteen-year-old girl with pigmented skin. Her hair long and curly with a silver hue. This enchanting girl from the first illustration below was too interesting to leave alone. Independently creating a narrative for the character her appearance was changed in subtle ways. Her pigmented skin was no longer blotchy, they were redesigned as stars.  Her age was changed by a few years.  By making her face less slender and more round her age is closer to ten years old now. Her name came into great consideration because this captivating character deserved a name as unique as her appearance.  Thus, the name Artemis came into play.  The initial meaning to Artemis is "Moon".
Side Note * Independently working on this project regarding character development and the characters environment. These are building blocks leading to a story.  There will be more characters included in the project but as of now it mainly focuses on one character.

This was the very first illustration made independently with only an idea.  It was mostly a study for color.

The colors are used to attract many audiences of all ages.  The character style invites more mature audience while the colors and abstract environment invite younger individuals.

The few last illustrations focus on the character development and the city
setting and feel.
