During my time at the Savannah College of Art & Design I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Shoujo Phonebook club. A student run organization dedicated to the production and promotion of a student based comic book anthology. I served many years as an organizer and contributor, but found my true calling during the last few years I attended school as a layout editor and graphic designer.
I worked closely with the Editor-in-Chief, who so appreciated my contribution and quick turnaround time that I was asked to leave behind templates for future anthologies if no new design volunteers would step forward. Table of Contents and Illustrations Index, the index is usually the last page before the autographs section, but there were so few entries this year that the contents only took one page and we decided to list all of it together.
Letter from the Editor and Special thanks, these pages give club history and credit to all the people who helped create the publication in a given year.
Author's Page, this shows how comic entries are prefaced. The art and artist statement belong to Billie Liao, 2009, the active club president and Editor-in-Chief.
Single Illustrations punctuate the story submissions, filling in space so that all comic submissions can face their credit page, and are denoted by credit tags. The illustrators above are Joy Hua, 2009 cover artist, and Dana M. Williams, 2009.
