Paper-light up Jellyfish

I was asked to built 5 big sculptures during the setting up of a big party in Venice !
The location was huge and fascinating, an old armory on a little island in the lagoon !

So I built up 5 big paper-jellyfishes of different size, shapes and colors,
 lighted up  from inside and hanged-up at the vault!

Now some pictures of the set-up, it takes 2 days to make these big 5 jellyfishes ! !

I made the structure with a strong thick wire,
 then I fixed every intersections with scotch-tape

After I start to cover the frame with papier tissue
The wire was so strong, but  the paper very fragile, this part of the work was so delicate!

Finally I attached the tentacles and the light, a strip of led, from the bottom !

At the end of the working day I get the boat ride to get back to Venice..the best part !!
