This project is based on the Design Thinking process: Empathise-Define-Ideate-Prototype-Test-Evaluate.
In order to apply this process to a design, a problem needs to be identified, researched and findings derived. This allows for an ongoing process of creating and crafting a design solution that is appropriate and suitable. The problem I identified is that cavities aren't detected early enough, through dental research I established that cavities are most common in young adults. Through secondary research into this target I audience I concluded that chewing gum and mouthwash would be a product most suitable and convenient to use.
Brand story:
Spot’aBlotch is a great way to detect cavities earlier, especially if you have a fast-paced lifestyle.
Spot’aBlotch is easy to use and consist out of a lysis solution as well as a dye activator which when combined and mixed with saliva creates spots wherever cavities are active. These blotches are visible when the agency comes into contact with streptococcus mutans, which are the evil little bacteria that hide in plaque and create cavities.
Early cavity detection helps in the prevention of long-term toothache, teeth extraction and gum disease.
