This 12 page self cover booklet was the activity guide for a tree finding 'scavenger hunt' the Deer Creek Watershed Alliance hosted throughout many weekends of the Forest Festival. The activity guide was fun for children and children at heart, and during certain event weekends the completion of the booklet could earn the participant a free fern or sapling, in honor of the International Year of Forests.
Along with designing the activity guide, according to an existing style sheet for the Forest Fest event, I created the signs to label the trees that were to be found, and illustrated the educational image of run off.

Below are the signs I designed to mark the trees that participants had to find in order to complete their activity booklets. The signs were changed three times to accommodate different event locations.
The Forest Festival event was held in honor of the International Year of Forests (2011), a United Nations endorsed event to raise awareness and decrease deforestation around the globe. The opening weekend coincided with Arbor Day and the long term exhibits ran through August of that year.
