This collection was internally inspired by my loss of childhood innocence. I really wanted my work to reflect the feeling of loss and soiling. The fabric is solely white to represent innocence and purity. The color accents seen throughout the collection are created by  rusty steel rubbing and interacting with the garments. After long periods of contact between the two, the rust would begin to eat away at the fabric creating a very delicate process within two fairly strong materials.  For three months I equally spent as much time in a metal foundry as I did in my apparel studio developing ways the two very different materials can interact with one another in a beautiful and poetic manner.
