Firstly, what is a Haiku? Google translates it as : a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
Now creating a Haiku, which to anyone, sounds like an easy job... well in fact, it's not. Sure anyone can make a 17 syllable poem - 3 lines in total, right? But does it actually fall into the characteristics of what a haiku is?
Unlike contemporary anime, which are crystal clear, I chose to leave mine in more of a raw format - my sketchy drawing style. Drawings were taken into Photoshop, after which After Effects was used for the animation.
The Final Haiku,
The Morning Light Shines,
My Life is Split, Scattered,
I Beg for Tranquility.
After a lot of experimenting, trials and errors and opinions from others, I came to realise I do not want to colour the whole animation, nor did I want to reflect an anime as they are now but instead adapt and evolve it into my own style.
