More long exposure...exposures...exposing!

So a couple of days ago, I posted some experimental long exposure shots. Then later elaborated on how to execute a shot like that.

If you read closely, I talked about a dear friend of mine. Ted Winkle, he's the culprit who hooked me on this addiction we all know as photography, Haha!.
Seriously though, I am truly grateful to have a friend, who possess the the generosity and knowledge in sharing feedback on how to; He's the like the Home Depot of photography for me. You know there slogan "You can do it, we can help! Yep, that's him.
In the pictures above, you can see how well he has master the form of bending light in an effort to obtain that WOW factor in his composition.  I mean, anyone can snap pics right? We all see them on IG, FB, and other media outlets. Most of them are cool, however the vast majority lack the artistic WOW FACTOR! This is where developing the understanding and basic rules of composition.
1) Balancing Elements
2) Rule of Thirds
3)  Symmetry and Patterns
4) Leading Lines
5) Background
6) Viewpoint
7) Depth
8) Framing
9)  Experimentation
10) and finally Cropping

All of the images above, have the all the rules of composition in common here.  Now not all scenarios are the same. Rules can often be broken to achieve that in which one is looking to do. That is where #9 is something to toy with. Experimenting is a large part of the fun when it comes to photography.
I use these as a guideline to get better. Call it competition. Friendly of course, but competition non the less and I'm not one for laying down easily. So, I keep shooting...improving...and continually impress myself with the new things that I am picking up everyday.
That's today's note.  I hope this helps some of you and inspires you to continue to grow in your photographic journey.
