High Tech Vendemmia

Sangiovese grapes soon to be Chianti wine.
Grapes hang along the bottom of the row for the harvester to pick off.
The harvester takes grapes from both sides of the row at the same time.
Ripe sangiovese grapes.
A tractor sized to fit between the rows tows the harvester.
The harvester doesn't pick bunches, it sucks the individual grapes off the vines.
At the end of the row the harvester dumps the grapes into a trailer.
The trailer dumps the grapes into a hopper to be fed to the crusher.
A man helps feed the grapes into the crusher.
One of Il Palazzo's finest wines ready on my table.
Dinner time.
