I created this project to explore the idea of corporate branding for the fictional breakfast cafe, "Rise + Shine". I designed the company logo, color palette and icons. My main inspiration behind the logo was the sun and sunny side up eggs. Rise + Shine is a new breakfast cafe located in Denver, CO. It's hoping to cater to the family crowd as well as the hipster crowd with its trendy, friendly and whimsical style. I wanted to encompass these characteristics in this logo and icons, while the color palette's main inspiration derives from sunny side up eggs. Rise + Shine aims to deliver mouth-watering, all around fantastic breakfast food that will motivate you to wake up in the morning!
Taking these EGGcelent icons from process to product! They started as icons in my sketchbook, which were then translated to sketches on my tablet, and finally converted into vector shapes in Illustrator to be used and manipulated into different sizes and compositions.
