ACMI Generator
Generator – http://generator.acmi.net.au– is acreative studio space, a space where you can explore the moving image, beinspired, create your own moving image works and share your creations with theGenerator community.

As the Screen Education Manager at ACMI my role in theproject was to oversee the research, planning, and development of the learningmaterial on the site, ensuring it met with local national and internationalstandards. A critical part of my role was ensuing that the Learning Design(LD)and User Experience Design (UXD) on the site met with key stakeholderrequirements.

Generator won Best Overall Website and Best EducationWebsite at the Museums and the Web 2011 Conference in the USA. Generator wasalso a finalist in the 17th AIMIA awards and 2010 eLearning Industry ExcellenceAwards.

The Storyboard Generator was a key interactive tooldeveloped to drive engagement on the site. Student are typically resistant tocreating storyboards finding the process time consuming and technically andcreatively challenging. The Storyboard Generator designed to enhance this keypre-production process with an ability to use the tool at a lower primary to seniorsecondary level.
The Education Themes section of the site links ACMI’s extensive repository of video assets to learningmaterial scaffolded to provide a range of engagement introductory or casualusers to deep subject matter experts and deep engagers.
