Mesh Independent Surface Interpolation

Surface Interpolation is a process which has been extensively used in various fields like Physics, Medicine, Geology, Hydrology, etc. With the advent of latest technologies to scan a 3D object, Surface interpolation is being used to create digital copy of the object. This object under study could be anything like human bodies, a toy or even the surface of the earth. Some applications in which surface Interpolation play an important role are: to view maps as terrains, 3D Animation, Robot control, Forensic documentation, medical imaging, Freeway redesign, etc.

The method proposed here is aimed at removing the limitation of meshes. By removing the mesh constraint there is a significant rise in performance and also there is more freedom for developers to improvise on the surface reconstruction algorithm and customize the processing procedure for different applications.

Solar Panel Simulator:

This program computes the realistic solar energy extractable from standard 60W solar panels laid in a area of 1-metre square, on any location on earth. The effects of shadow on solar panels are also studied.
Ant Colony Optimization

This is the implementation on one of the series of algorithms inspired by observing the behaviours of ants. This is is particularly inspired from the way ants build their nest and collect dead ants. These algorithms can be used in various fields for optimisation needs. I am using them to classify datasets.

Noise carrier DDMA Communication system
I have learnt communication systems for 4 years as part of my Undergraduate Engineering Programme. I loved learning them, the simple reason being they are simple, But the changes that they bring along are tremendous. Imagine how much communication is a part of our life, the magical device which has shrunk a whole world of information into our palms, the smartphones would be the sci-fi gadget of the future if some people weren't love-struck by the simple and elegant communication theory. One year after college I had almost forgotten how simply wonderful of science communication systems are and this project reminded me the feeling I got when my professor introduced to us the concept of OFDM, the feeling equivalent of the word 'wow'.

Noise carrier DDMA is a communication system which uses noise as the carrier of information. The concept is very simple. Generate noise, send two versions of it in time, once by multiplying it with a message signal and sending in real time, and again by sending a untouched version delayed in time. In the receiver end the two versions are extracted from a sea of signals received by using a delay line and a correlator. The unique identity of the link between two users is that the delay unit in both ends needs to be tuned to the same delay value.
