Magazine Project

Design@Atrium Magazine
To create a front cover and a double page spread for the university magazine.
When designing the front cover for the magazine, I felt that using a typographic approach would best reflect the subject that I do, and I wanted to incorporate the building as it is such a striking feature for the university. When it came to my double page spread, I wanted to have a running theme, so I kept the colour scheme to black and red and linked my typography in with the image of myself using the hibiscus flower.
I wanted to keep the cover quite simple so that the main focus was on the text round the outside.
I wanted to keep a running theme of red throughout the magazine. I tied in the hibiscus flower from the photograph to the flower in the typography I chose.
