How to eat healthier meals - Interactive PDF

Part of being an instructional designer is to be able to create different pieces of media to help the user learn. One item I created for a healthier meal course was an interactive PDF that could be used as part of a module in a corporate environment for adults. My plan was to keep things simple and to teach small changes that could be implemented without having to make a drastic change or a huge change that would ultimately lead to failure. The PDF allows the user to mouse over the different food groups and get more information on the different food groups and what exactly a serving of each food group.
Final Version of PDF
This video shows the interactivity of the PDF. Each area of the PDF discusses why that food group is important how much of it should be consumed in a daily basis, and most importantly what one serving consists of. One serving of fruits and vegetables is different than one serving of grains.

Initial Version of PDF
This was the initial version of the PDF, it was too cartoonish for the intended audience.
Research for PDF
Information gathered from research for interactive PDF. Information was gathered from different sources. Many sources differed as to the quantities that should be consumed so I went with the averages from more reliable sources such as the FDA and healthyeating.gov.
