Beggle [beg-ull]

noun: a breakfast item, usually topped with Philadelphia Cream Cheese or used in a breakfast sandwich.

"Gotta stop at Dunkin' Donuts and grab a beggle with cream cheese."
Center City

noun: the central business district and central neighborhoods of Philly.

Fun fact: It is the former city of Philadelphia before the Act of Consolidation of 1854, which extended the city to include all of Philadelphia county.
Hoagie

noun: a sandwich, served on a long roll, filled with meats, cheeses, and condiments. (Not to be confused with a sub, hero, or grinder)

"I'm going to Wawa to get a hoagie."
Ice-ning 

noun: sugary glaze used to top baked goods, also known as frosting

I personally say icing, but I've heard way too many people throw the extra N in there and I have no idea why.
Iggles

noun: our beloved football team, the Philadelphia Eagles

Jawn

noun: any person, place, or thing

Jimmies

noun: tiny cylindrical candies mainly used to top ice cream. DO NOT CALL THEM SPRINKLES

Tap MAC

verb: to withdraw cash from an ATM, formerly known in the U.S. Northeast as a MAC (Money Access Center) Machine.

"Stop at Wawa on the way, I need to tap MAC before we get there."
The El

noun: Septa's Market Frankford line, aka "The Blue Line"

"Amtrak is down, gotta take The El to work today."
Wit or Witout?

preposition: referring to whether you want onions on your cheesesteak or not.

"I'll take a provolone witout."

noun: water

That clear liquid that everyone outside of the Philly area calls "wah-ter".
