3D Printed Packaging

In a climate of frenzied mass consumption, where everything is mass-produced, how do you subvert the norms of production? SUCTION alters the traditional form of a shoebox by reappropriating the form of vacuumed meat packaging. The contents of the packaging is suspended within a 3D-printed layered frame, which slots together to seal the product inside. SUCTION offers an alternative model of consumption, where touch takes lead as primary sense, critiquing our obsession with aesthetics.

SUCTION is concerned with human progress and innovation. The shoebox is designed to fit the given width of a product, needing no excess space for movement. This innovative form of packaging allows more boxes to be transported in a carton, saving more energy.
