Gouache studies based on the view of Nature Lab Specimens under a microscope.

The prompt for this assignment was to create a piece that somehow reflected two or more actions. As a response to the aforementioned prompt, I drew my own hand from observation. My hand, in turn, is depicted drawing a cartoon hand as it writes the phrase "I have been drawn," a statement that adds an element of self-reflexivity to the piece (along with the fact that the image depicts a hand drawing another hand as it uses a similar writing/drawing utensil to create text art).
