Tan-Tán is a web platform for people who work in contemporary art. It's goal is to help artists, curators, institutions and public to gain visibility, communicate better, save time on repetitive tasks and get a better view of the artistic landscape.
This is a daring and ambitious project that was born from our own necessities as artists and that has been validated through dozens of interviews with people on the different roles we are helping.

We decided to put our IT knowledge (we, being TuerCo.) to solve these necessities and, for the past two years, we have been researching and designing ways to create attractive, easy-to-use applications that solve their everyday pains, take into account the specific needs and peculiarities of the Contemporary Art environment.

Thus we have created different tools for easier access to art-related news and events, collaboration and better ways to organise research and references (a very common pain).

What is different about Tan-Tán from other platforms is that we are building bottom-up, therefore taking into account the work you do instead of the ones "validated" through big galleries, institutions or names. A more horizontal, organic way to getting noticed.

Art related news and events in just one place.
The dashboard. The workspace to organise your work.
The inside look of a "drawer", the basic organisation element in the platform. What is a drawer, you ask?
We've created a workflow with the essential steps to easily build an exhibition and automatically generate common materials such a webpage and technical sheets!
An overview of the people you are interested in or have worked with. You can easily share their information to friends and colleagues.
A simplified artist profile that is automatically updated.
We have also created a browser extension to help users save references directly to their drawers.
Access to the platform is by invitation only right now. If you are interested in getting one please fill out the form.

Cheers... and Tan-Tán.
