SPATIAL DYNAMICS WITH COLGATE SEARLE
[ SPRING SEMESTER 2016 ]
PHOTOGRAPHED BY TONI CHOI. Using wooden dowels and metal wire, I created a mechanism that constrains the movement of the upper back and shoulders in order to create an extension or projection of the body. Using the asymmetry of the raw structure, the string acts as a layer of skin for the external structure that both forces the model into a upright posture and provides a shell to which one can reside in.
