Sofia Dalponte's profile

Installation and museography

My tools come from my background as an industrial designer and a complementary formation in museum studies. While working I gained directing and producing  experience in multidisciplinary teams.
My role is generally as a producer. Also I've wide experience directing teams and projects, creative direction and design itself. In Spain I've worked for public and private institutions and independent initiatives.

Here some of my last projects:

This is our project together "El patio de la jungla" with La Casa Encendida, a 360 round fully designed enviroment that mixed technology and nature. And, actually, that girl in the yellow-green top is me trying out the augmented reality and digital interface before opening hours
2015 Christmas in Madrid we add some heat to the chilli season with our tropical  "El patio de la jungla" in collaboration with La Casa Encendida.
Our purpose was to re create a jungle inside the building, including the technology gadgets and geometrical art. The idea was to create a digital-nature, bring together plants, fruits and sounds of the biosphere with technology. This idea comes about because of Tropical Bass music, the festival GUACAMAYO promotes that may work as a representation of this concept too, tradition meets new media.

Madrid's patron day is 15th May San Isidro. In 2015 we celebrated it in a very special way, in our own tropical mood. It was a coproduction of Tierra Candela with Matadero Madrid and Mahou, Madrid's best beer. Here're some videos so you can get an idea of how it was.

During my stay in Museo del Traje, I assited in the preparation of temporary exhibition Jaulas doradas in spring 2015.
