Brief:
This semester, we will explore the topic of housing and and the way itcan contribute to creating a sense of community that is more than justa few houses in context.What is your idea of a “Student village”, in contrast to a “StudentHousing Project”?What Architectural concepts will enhance a sense of community, afeeling of belonging to?What makes a user a dweller?You are to design a “Student Village” i.e. a Student accommodationproject that is more than a building but includes public or semi-publicspaces, such as a small community hall, a quiet room and a shop forevery-day-needs.Your design intention will not only be influenced by the clues of the siteand the requirements of the brief; it will also benefit from your personalinterpretation of what the assumption of a “village” means for you.
