Watt Space Student Gallery

Watt Space is a student art gallery that was first established in 1989 by students of the University of Newcastle. The name was derived from the first gallery space located in Watt Street, Newcastle. Over the years Watt Space Gallery has moved multiple times and is now due to move to a refurbished, purpose-built space. This move has presented an opportunity to revitalise the Watt Space logo, which has remained unchanged for over 20 years, and to bring it back to its roots. Keeping in line with the values of the student gallery, the new logo strives for a more contemporary and professional image that is reflective of the new gallery space. The result is a clean logo reflective of the gallery's name, origins, creative thought and innovative process.
