For Kai Franz & Mark Milloff's Design final piece, we partnered up to create a piece that allowed for the merging of two or more structures using Rhinoceros 3D. Using the large gouache microscope paintings we painted as the material base, we then had to reassemble our design in the physical world using a laser cutter for precision and detail. Our refusal to say anything serious is a critique. We used hard-dry clay heads, splatters of plaster, stuffing and our 3D printed fruits and fishes to depict the utter meaninglessness of what we inspire to create. The overlapping of vibrant colors allows for the mergence of separate and combined objects through the overall quality of the installation's texture.
