Standing at about 6-7" tall, Clingstone is a sculpture made from polymer clay and painted with acrylic paint. It is based off of a collage I made of drawings of various objects and places from Providence, as well as studies of some houses form my home in Massachusetts. I brought the collage to life by sculpting it in the round, individualy crafting pipes, automatic sprinkler caps, and even miniature birds. After 40 hours of work I am leaving this piece alone for a while, but plan to go back in and touch up some areas with metallic ink or paint.
