Here are a few of my favorite illustrations that I have done during my years at Truman State University. Illustration has never been my strongest suit, but I do enjoy it :)
The first illustration was intended to be the poster side of a self-mailer promoting the Society of Illustrators and to create this image I actually did the ink work and watercolor separately and then combined using Photoshop. It took a few rounds of watercolor to get the colors and positioning just right, but I think the end result was exactly what I was going for.
Additionally, for the second illustration we were assigned to create an illustration that related to Walt Disney in some way. Since Tinker Bell is my absolute favorite character, choosing her for my subject matter was a no brainer! For this illustration I used watercolor for the light, airy aspects and then went in with gauche to emphasize more of the details.
