CHALLENGE:  As part of a design challenge, I was asked to demonstrate my visual design skills by taking the new metro guidelines and designing several screens to see what Groupon could look like in on a windows tablet.  
 
RESEARCH:  Using a Window's tablet for a few days along with reading up on the design guidelines allowed me to figure out what the interaction patterns, design patterns and components should look like for the screens I was asked to present.
 
At the time, Groupon hadn't yet created a Windows tablet app, so I was given the chance to take the findings on how Window's tablets work and marry that with the Groupon brand so that it felt like it fit within both eco-systems.
