In deciding the design scheme for the website, we decided to follow in the footsteps of the game itself, which is set in space. In that vein, we decided that we wanted the site to give off a “modern” feel, with rounded edges, futuristic fonts and hover effects, and an edgy color scheme.

 We thought that it would make sense in line with the promotional aspect of the website if we relied heavily on official game art as we sketched out our site aesthetics. As such, we decided to use a game background as our site background and prominently display the logo at the top of the page. We also pulled our color scheme from the colors associated with the Pluto background, as well as colors in the official Colorblind logo (blue, black, and silver).

We also felt that we wanted site navigation to be extremely straightforward, so that curious users would be able to find their way to the information they sought as quickly as possible.
