For my Minor project of my final (3rd) year, I focused on supporting the Foodbank (the trussell trust) with increased advertisement and identification of items that are donatable.

Conducting research, little amount of people knew what, where, how to donate. This gave me my predicted problem to help give the extra / revised designs that will solve the problems faced.
Talking to my local Foodbank to get further information on how that organisation works, where all their donation points are, what problems they have from donations and what their advertisements that exist are.

Problems faced are with political views for and against Foodbanks and the restrictions within the two supportive supermarkets - Tesco and Waitrose.
My answers were to be answered within the supermarket that will allow for great visual impact as well as the constant reminder for the donated items also where and how to donate.
In-store frames with donatable items leaflets, where else you can donate (dates & times) and where you can go to use the foodbank.
Solving the issue of not knowing the foodbank receptical within the store.
The same frame and information as on the door into the store, the receptical design with all the wanted items upon it in, the two foodbank (the trussell trust) colours. The type to match the products itself.
Further into the store when searching for items. Flags!
Indicating the products that are wanted. Therefore items not on the list should not be donated, and all items can be given to those in need.
Keeping the two greens of the trussell trust to get it away from the colours of the supermarkets, making it standout, plus it would be something that is unusual on the eye to see.
Trying to advertise the foodbank subtly outside the stores through bags for life - helping the environment and enhance the support of the foodbank.

Taking the type from the in-store receptical to keep links with the whole new design of the foodbank.
Double sided bag to have all the information on it whatever side is on view, it would be attention grabbing and should not be too much in no supporting peoples view.
Further out store advertisement of foodbank to help get people the know the other donation points are, as well as where the collection locations are for those in need.
