The OctaGreen shelter was designed in response to the October 2015 earthquake which damaged or destroyed scores of houses at the very start of the region’s harsh winter. In these mountainous areas, ordinary tents are inadequate. They let in the cold, have a short lifespan, and provide little in the way of security or privacy. The Lari OctaGreen addresses these deficiencies using sustainable materials and a design inspired by local construction techniques.
