Project type: Hotel Guestroom
In today’s age of technology where information is vast and instant, a hotel guestroom targetting sinle travellers revolving around the keywords Surreal, Tension and envelope is designed to inspire daydreaming and time away from technology and the fast-paced lifestyle in Singapore.
Based on the readings of Gaston Bachelard and Kenneth S. Pope, the “mystery of things” and people in “simple, barren environment offering little stimulation” leads to daydream or thoughts about matters that are not directly related to the current situation. The hotel tries to bridge mystery and simplicity into a small space.
