Shoegazing (Waiting)

Photographs
This is a series of digitally manipulated photographs that I have created from a series of photographs which I took over the course of one month. Whenever I found myself waiting for a train or at an intersection, I took a photograph of my feet. After creating a video triptych from those photographs, I became intrigued with the dissolving transitions between the photographs in the video. The photographs that you see here are the result of overlaying each day's photographs and tinkering with the transparency of each photograph to achieve the hazy memory of these acts of waiting.
