Is it absurd to expect equality in inequality. This exploration zeros on the much-debated topic of gender equality. Does it always favour the man? Are women always at a disadvantage? Does humanity have what it takes to achieve a balance? After all, aren’t we all humans seeking for the same thing in life?
It is not about achieving an absolute equality, for men and women are created differently - physically and with different emotional capacity - to allow them to fulfil different social roles and functions. There is equality in ensuring that each gender is equipped with the ability to realise their social roles and functions. There is, however, inequality when they are not respected and duly appreciated or renumerated for their skills and talents. When a woman does her job well, she should be rightfully
conpensated for it, and same goes for the man. However, rights cannot be abused. They cannot be used as a scapegoat to escape from the law. Don’t do to others what you don’t want others to do to you. This means the law needs to be unbias and just.
