The main purpose of the assignment was to design a Community Boathouse for professional Rowing. The project initiated as an analysis of the given site, then we focused on elements of interest within the site. My design derived from my attempt to find geometry through culture conservation in the site, meaning that all the programatic aspects of the boathouse were shaped by the trees around it. This process led to an abstract approach to creating geometry. Architecture was later brought to establish a logic to the abstraction which in this case the rule consisted on a series of curve (in areas where there were trees) and straight lines (in ares without trees.) The floor adjusts to different changes in topography and the roof became the outcome of the floor.
