The bottom bearing is glued to the frame with Loctite 648 retaining compound, while the top bearing is threaded for adjustability.
The shaft and the flywheel are glued together.
While basing on a simple design and the difference in mass between aluminum and brass, an aluminum piece, which is lighter than brass, is pressed through the cut-out brass piece to increase the centrifugal force to give the gyroscope a better performance.
