Final Project for Spatial Dynamics studio instructed by Professor Gareth Jones during Spring 2019. Time is the dominating element and theme in this project. The images below are documentations of a 20-day journal done on only a single sheet of paper. The paper is recycled 19 times and reproduced using a paper making kit.
The second piece done for this project is a concrete cast with a ticking clock inside. The simple action is to explore the ambiguity and intangiblity of time as a subject matter. The absurd nature of the object is deliberately compelling to evoke doubts towards the intention of the artist. The isolated clock become the unreachable representation of the flow of time, and the concrete barrier comments on human's effort in preserving or control subjects that are decaying or growing unstoppablely by the force of nature.
