Broussard Showroom: Designing for a long-term relationship, client & employee satisfaction, obtaining thetrue family atmosphere, and living the real Broussard Group Way.
As a distribution partner for KNOLL and DIRTT products, Broussard Group and Broussard Basics are two separate companies that provide a one stop shop for all interior needs.
Buiding Concerns:
-Representing 2 companies within one building
-Displaying the most current furniture systems and products on the market
-Standardization of the Company Identity
-Efficient Work Space Layout

In the world today, there is no more room for companies to separate the “office life” from the “outside world”. The relationship between the client and the company must be open where the client feels secure and able to trust the provider.[1] This interaction between client and provider must be natural, unconditional, open, which brings trust, loyalty, and ultimate happiness to both entities. The space in which the company is housed should enhance the unique qualities that exist init. The design enables all the different actions occurring in the business, from the impact of client’s satisfaction, to positive and happy employees’ experiences, to be possible. Several principles are used to achieve this satisfaction.

Facade with window film design: Knoll timeline expressed through its furniture. The simplistic film design reflects Broussard's logo giving the focus on the furniture pieces.
The display of Knoll Studio pieces, arranged in a time line format, is show cased on a raised platform along the storefront. This storefront exposes the client to what is inside as soon as they arrive, thus establishing the company’s will to provide a transparent relationship. In the lobby, the client interacts with the unique service that only Broussard Group provides of assembling furniture in its warehouse. People visiting the company can see the process of service through the lobby windows looking into its warehouse, find comfort in the lounge seating, and greetings by a friendly receptionists who directs and assist with anything visitors need. While reaching the reception desk, the customer can notice the conference room located near entrance for meetings with possible clients.
Adjacent to the conference room is Broussard Basics, moved forward up in the floor plan, separate from the rest of the departments to emphasize its separate identity from Broussard Group. The back wall of the kitchen is used as a display of the company’s core values and goals to be achieved. This wall will be for both, for the client to understand the company better, and for the employees to increase motivation to achieve their goals for the day. This wall can also be utilized to display upcoming events, projects, employee of the year, etc.
After passing the display wall one enters the work space. This space is an open plan broken up by collaboration spaces. Collaboration spaces are included in three different areas: in the technology/library, in the design & sales department, and next to the president’s office with easy accessibility to all employees. The vice president office remains in the same location, close to Broussard Basics. The president has been relocated to a private office with view to all the departments (sales & design, research and design, administration). Design & sales and research & design have been moved closer to the entrance for clients to have easy access to their desks if needed. Administration and Chief Financial Officer are at the back of the house for privacy and quiet working environment. This new design allows for higher concentration on clients, better collaboration between employees and a more effective organization of spaces.
