'Gharial' The Wine Bottle Holder has been handcrafted in Channapatna for Varnam, Bangalore.
Channapatna is an age old eco-friendly toy-craft, brought to India from Persia by Tipu Sultan. Here, the wood in turned and lacquered with food safe non-toxic dyes.
The design is such that when the bottle is kept in the mouth it forms the shape of the Indian crocodile called 'Gharial'.
