Little Taalia's Trap is a project about how you can use technology to trigger memories from childhood. It deals with the innate human desire to share information but at the same time be safe from unwanted judgement.
Using an incident from my life which was about my hidden diaries being discovered by my older brother, we decided to set up a ‘trap’ to comment on how I could’ve protected the diary. When I was young, I used to write my feelings in a diary which were not to be read by anyone but my brother, who would always end up reading it. We addressed it by using a personal touch. There is an innate human desire to share information but at the same time be safe from unwanted judgment. The diary being a part of this project helps to cater to this form of narrative very well. In developing the project we are addressing the above as well as creating another narrative of protection of what we feel is really close to us.
