Four Freedoms (Single Project)
This year marks the 75th year of FDR’s Four Freedoms speech, I had the great honor to create a series of images for the Four Freedoms Park Conservancy to celebrate this anniversary, and to raise fund and awareness. With the donation-appeal gate fold brochure, I wanted to show the year round effort happening in the park that's keep Louis Kahn's beautiful vision alive. With the Four Freedoms illustrations, Art director Madeline and I agreed that a modern interpretation that’s more whimsical and less propagandistic was preferable. I believe Four Freedoms remain applicable today. And they are rights that everyone, not just one country or one group of people, deserve. So I decided to go a different route and forgo depicting human altogether. The client asked for something versatile which can be applied on a wide range of merchandises such as magnets, tees and tote bag, hence the icon module format.
