Colorado Seasons

If you've ever taken a trip to the mountains of Colorado, you've undoubtedly been aware of the incredible scenery that we have in our Rocky Mountains. These two sets of photos were both taken in Rocky Mountain National Park, obviously at different times, one set in the fall and one set in the winter. Winter scenery lasts from November through April, usually so catching the winter beauty doesn't take so much timing. On the other hand, when you are trying to get the golden aspens , each area of Colorado has about two weekends that the colors are at their peak and each year it might be a different week; but it always happens early in the mountains, usually during late September, early October. So you hope for a sunny day, get up early to avoid the mountain haze, and get shooting.
