The aim of this project was to create some designs for the pi day 2016 event in Marseille (which celebrates mathematics and pies on the 14th of March). For the event which took place in a theater, singers, musicians, actors and mathematician put on a fun and accesible mathematical show.The first design was meant to be used as a logo for the organising association, to be printed on several support (tshirts, stickers,...). The logo of the pi day association is a red pi spotlit on stage, wearing a hat. The logo had to have as few color as possible to enable it to be printed on a tshirt using serigraphy (it was printed on a black tshirt, using therefore only white and red).
An actual model of the red pi logo was put on stage during the event (note that the design is slightly different and less cartoonish for obvious stability reasons).
A Lego version of the logo was made.
This design is full of mathematical equations (which were inspired by the scientific content of the event), was meant to evoke the messy draft papers of mathematicians. It was printed on t-shirts worn by the organizing staff during the event.
