The project is to design an aquatic research lab at the Narragansett Bay. The building seeks to provide private research spaces and public experience of the tidal pool and aquarium simultaneously.
Began the project, opposing forces are explored and emphasized via different forms and structures to approach the state of equilibrium. Those structures and forms are later applied in the lab design to express the tension and transformation between two opposing factors, in this case, land and the water.
